I guess it’s considered better by some as they generally are not on ground in the combat zone getting shot at. Easy on the thumbs down as I’m not done. Some in the AF have seen combat, but generally they’re more fupport for the Troops on the ground. You’ll also see all kinds of answers here since those of us that were in a different branch will say our was the best! The AF does have their perks, but I wouldn’t have done it different even now…sorry I was Army

The Air Force generally has an arms length approach to warfare. We use technology to do our fighting for us.

For a majority of them yes. But before bashing on the AF too much, there are also AF Combat Controllers, Pararescue (PJs), etc… that are in the fight and mud along with everyone else (my company actually has a few AF guys in it that are part of the unit). Not all the AF gets it easy. And they do a damn good job at blowing things up from the air. So as an Army guy I don’t hold too much against them. Especially as long as they can keep the bombs falling on the bad guys so I don’t have to worry about them anymore.

HAHA – Better Chow, Better Per Diems, Better Quarters, Shorter deployments, shorter PT Tests Standards, Better Duty Stations (than army) and better MOS’s.

As of now, they wont even take a re-enlistment of prior service Army!

    Yes, I asked!!

Ok..Im not offically in the Air Force yet..will be soon..anyways while doing research I seen something talking about the Air Force being referred to as "Chair Force"..they said it is because of how easy everyone thinks basic training is..but that will soon change in the fall..when the basic goes from 6 weeks to 8 weeks..They are adding more combat training as a requirement..Hope that helps!
