Why does the Air Force get nick named Chair Force?

Never quite got that, is it because the pilots are always sitting down or something?

Because there isn’t much to do nowadays in the air force. When was the last time you’ve heard of an air fight. The marines are hogging up all the action.

We have our own way of doing things, and we’re move relaxed :)

Becase they spent a ridiculous amount of money of something like a "relaxing suite" like a box type thing with really expensive chairs.

Because you actually have to be able to read to be in the Air Force, unlike the other Branch’s.

Because the Air Force is one of the more intelligent branches of the military. They populate more of the "sit-down" types of jobs. Most of the jobs that are offered have AF personnel sitting behind a desk on a computer.

I say "most" because the AF does have other jobs, including ground forces, believe it or not.

The vast moajority of AF jobs are electrical and mechanical. You are not sitting at a desk much more in the AF as you would in the other branches. All branches make fun of each other. People in the AF say stuff like "The Army takes any one with a pulse." and "The Marine’s are a bunch of dumb jocks." Chair Force is just a clever way to make fun of the Air Force.
