Is there any products that will disinfect fabric furniture (chair)?

Lysol wont help me, it doesnt seem safe for fabric, only hard surfaces, or air. But I need to disinfect my huge chair. My 8 year old spent a week on it and she was very ill. Are there any products I can use?

There’s actually a new febreeze out just for this!!! I bought it after my son got really sick and it really helps! I believe it’s called Febreeze PLUS antibacterial. It’s awesome because it disinfects and it doesn’t leave that harsh chemical smell. It’s actually a very nice smell.

Borax. Dissolve 1/2 cup borax in 2 cups hot water. Rub or spray the solution into the fabric of the chair. Allow it to soak for several hours. Blot up with towels and let air dry. If any powder is left over when it’s dry, just vacuum it up. Borax is all natural and kills mildew and removes stains, so i assume it will take care of your chair. I had a leak in my car and all my upholstery mildewed, i did this and it worked great. I’m not fond of chemical cleaners, but you can try oust. Hope this helps!

I’ve used Lysol spray on many fabrics, (chairs, couches, carpet, etc). I’ve never had adverse problems from it. You may want to test a small area first, but I wouldn’t worry it would hurt. It’s the best and easiest disenfectant to use for germs.

You can saturate it in white vinegar. Allow to air dry
you can set it out in the sun for a day (make sure the cushions are set separately)
you can use a steam machine that is for clothing and steam everything slowly

Go to your local Sam’s Club and purchase some ODA BAN. It comes in a jug with a spray bottle attached. It kills germs as well as deodorizes. I think you will be very happy with this product. I am.
