I have a hammock stand that needs to be shipped overseas to an APO address. just wondering if the post office will ship it.. or is it too large . the dimensions are 180 x 48 x 48 and it weights 58 pounds.. how much do you think this will cost ?

It is too large. The weight is not a problem. Length + girth cannot exceed 108 inches.

I personally in the past, a couple years ago had sent some things to an APO address overseas. But I know the guidelines have changed, so go to http://www.ups.com and you will find all the info you need to ship your package. Good Luck!!! and God Bless our troops:)

I don’t see why they wouldn’t. It will probably be expensive to send such a large item. If at all possible, you might be better off spliting up the peices to the hammock and sending them in smaller boxes.

USPS may or may not accept the package. However, the APO probably won’t deliver anything that is too big for one person to handle and something the size & weight of the hammock stand it almost certainly too big.

You need to check with the Postal Clerk at the receiving APO before sending the item.
