Which is the best hammock to buy, rope or material?

I would like to get some of these for Christmas for my adult grandkids, but I don’t know which is best, will last longer, or are more comfortable. Anyone?

    Rope is material.

    I have a cotton one, and it’s 5 yrs old, and fine. If you buy any type of fabric it will last for a long time if you don’t leave it outside in the sun and elements. I use mine and take it in.
