where to fine the rope harness for a woven canvass hammock?

My hammock broke where the rope harass holds the canvas "mat" to the spreader bars and metal loop that is on the stand. The canvas in in great condition, it is the rope harass that is degrading apart.

Check at local marine supply stores and the climbing department at sporting goods or camping/outdoor stores for rope. They are designed to be strong, lightweight, abrasion resistant and often UV stabilized or protected. I don’t know how the rope attaches to your particular hammock, but the marine supply store would probably have fittings, thread and grommets that you might need.

Online look at http://www.westmarine.com/ under "Cordage" or http://www.rei.com/climbing under "Ropes". The marine supply place has a bigger selection and sells more rope by the foot.
