How will guinea pigs react to a hammock?

August 25th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

Okay, so I want to add a hammock to my guinea pigs cage. My ferret had a hammock and loved it. I know ferrets and guinea pigs are very different. If you have a guinea pig with a hammock, how does it do with it, and what does it do? If you did research, do they actually love them? Will they be comfortable? Will it be a waste of time? Could I make ir from a washcloth? Thanks for your answers!

Guinea pigs aren’t as active as ferrets. I have two guinea pigs and all they seem to need is an igloo. I think they are just lazy though. I think it would be a fun way to play with your new pet, give it a go! :) don’t use a washcloth cause all they will do is chew on it and tear it to shreds. If you really want one then you can find them at your local pets store. And make sure that it hangs lowww. If its too high they will just try to jump on it and hurt themsleves. Hope i helped!

Give it a go, as long as they can get up to it they’ll probably love it.

I seriously doubt your guinea will use a hammock. Ferrets are naturally very curious and love hammocks.
