How to hang hammock chair from drop-down basement ceiling?

We are finishing the basement and I have a hammock chair that I want it hung there. I am being discouraged since we are going to have a drop-down ceiling. Please give me details (hardware list) on how to do it.

Hanging your chair from a suspended ceiling is even easier than a drywall ceiling, since you won’t have any trouble at all finding a joist. As for the dropdown, simply make a slit in the tile for the chair ropes to be hung thru.

As for instructions, here you go:

    Hi,
You would need to anchor it into the ceiling joists and you’ll need enough clearance in the ceiling tile to allow any movement without moving the tile.

attach eyebolts to your ceiling joists. bolts should be long enough to extend just below your ceilng tiles, no need for slits
