How do you anchor a hammock between two trees? What hardware or rope?? ANyone who can give me an idea!!?

I really need detail on how to hang this thing. I have perfectly lined up two tress, that I want to put the hammock between, just don’t know how to hang it.. do I tie ropes around the tree, or use anchors.. I don’t want to kill the trees though! Please help.. Thanks

    There are a couple of different ways to tie your hammock between some trees. Some people drive some hooks into the trees, but these can come loose, and then you’ll be in for a fall, ropes will definitely work. but you also buy these special straps that tighten with tension so they won’t come loose when you lying in the hammock, they are pretty cheap and they don’t damage the tree, and they really easy to take down in a hurry. You can pick them up on amazon.

    How big are the trees and how fat are you? If the trees are over 5 inches…they shouldn’t need much support.

    BTW…I need really big trees to support my body.

    Yes, just tie a rope around the trees. You should be fine doing it that way.
