Does anyone, with an option, sleep in a Mayan hammock?

Just wondering if they are practical and comfortable before buying mattresses for my fishing cabin.

I think that depends on how you sleep. If you sleep on your back, it would be quite comfortable. If you are a stomach sleeper or if you turn a lot at night, it may not be a good idea. I have a hand made hammock that I purchased in Mexico many years ago. It is fixed between two tress in my backyard. There are no spreaders, and it takes some time to get used to getting into it, but there have been many times that I lay in it to read a book, watch nature or just relax and I have had many good naps in that hammock! I love mine, but I could not sleep the night away in it …. I’m a stomach sleeper and a turner.
