Crafty people needed, How do you make a hammock for an iguana by using the stuff found at home or in the yard?
I’m getting an iguana I’ve researched for 5 months and now I’m getting one, I’ve heard iguanas love hammocks, how do I make one I can’t buy one from a pet store because they usually don’t have it, please answer my question only no comments.
You can make a hamock out of almost any material you can find around your house- an old pillow case, sheet, t-shirt, etc. The thicker the material, the better. I’d be careful with towels and certain types of netting- your ig’s nails can easily become entangled in the material.
What kind of cage will you have? The more difficult part will be figuring out how to hold the hammock up. You will either have to suspend it, or attach the hammock to the sides of the enclosure. Simple hooks will work on a wooden cage. If you want to suspend the hammock, you will have to find some kind of posts to hold it in the air. You could tie or staple the material to the posts.
They sell these online too. I’ve purchase from this site quite a few times, always simple and easy transactions. These would only be useful if you had a glass or plexi surface in the set-up, as it’s held up by suction cups. These will hold a juvenile ig too, the large is only 17.5 inches long.

I wouldn’t use things from outside because of mites and other parisites being pasted to the Iggy
You can use things from outside as long as you boil them before putting them in the tank to kill mites etc.
Here’s a good pic of a homemade hammock, maybe you can get some ideas from it:
