Crafty people needed, How do you make a hammock for an iguana by using the stuff found at home or in the yard?
I’m getting an iguana I’ve researched for 5 months and now I’m getting one, I’ve heard iguanas love hammocks, how do I make one I can’t buy one from a pet store because they usually don’t have it, please answer my question only no comments.
The best would be a hessian bag, sugar bag, flour sack or a corn bag that you get from produce stores. Attach with fishing line across each end to give it width so that it doesn’t collapse onto the iguana. Tie some rope around a bit of wood or a branch and poke the rope through a hole in the end and pull it through to the outside leaving the wood inside the bag. Do the same at the other end.
Half way along one side attach a third piece of rope so the iguana can climb up into the hammock.
If no bags are available, you can use 2 pillow slips (one inside the other for strength depending on the size) or a fairly large towel. You will have to sew the sides shut. You can use fishing line for that.
This should do the trick!

I found this on e-bay it’s pretty reasonable cost wise and would be the safest bet as it’s made and designed just for iguanas. I am so glad o see someone who has researched a pet before buying i hope you enjoy.
