Can I make my own hammock?

I want to make a hammock to hang from some trees to lay in on nice warm days. Does anyone know how to make one and what kind of materials to use?
Have any of you tried to make one before?

    Yes, you can. You really don’t want to, though. If you google the directions, you will find the materials required are expensive, the equipment is hard to find, and the labor is intensive. Buy one. You will be a lot happier
