can I make a hammock between a fence and tree on the side of my house?

I have a big sheet and I was thinking about making a hammock, would a metal fence be strong enough?

    The metal fence should be strong enough to support a hammock but not a sheet. It would rip and tear in no time flat. I would buy the hammock. There are some beauties around that are colorful and strong. Don’t forget the large metal rings you need to attach to the sheet would put too much pressure on it and your weight would be too much. You need canvas or heavy woven string.
