Are there any other young adult books that have these qualitites?
Recently I discovered a different kind of book,
Written mostly in small, non-rhyme poems.
Examples that I found with the books:
What My Mother Doesn’t Know by Sonya Sones;

Most people just call me Sophie
(which is the name

or Sof,
or sometimes Sofa.
Zak and Danny think it's cute

Do you know of any books like that, that use that same style of writing?
There’s one lovely book by Robert Cormier that’s a bit similar to that, it’s called "Frenchtown Summer" and it’s described as being a verse book. Here’s a little bit of info about it:
