She sits there against the tree.
Ipod plugged in her ears,
Blaring his favorite song.
People pass by,
Not seeing the poor, forgotten girl

She lifts her head for a second,
As he walks by
For a moment,
She forgets to breath
She wants to ask “do you believe in love,
At first sight?”

He slightly smiles
Has he walks by the stage girl,
He knows she keeps to her self
But he wants to be let in

Her heart starts to beat fast,
As he walks over to her
“Can I sit?” he asks
She looks up and nods her head,
Not knowing what to say.

The first hour was filled with awkward conversation.
Then he asked a question, that made her talk
“Why do you come here everyday”
At fist she wondered, how he knew that.
Then she poured out her whole life story.

As she cried over the pain,
He wrapped her in a hug
In his arms she smiled,
He leaned down and kissed her.
“I love you”

They talked for hours,
Long into the night.
He walked her home,
And on her doorstep kissed her goodnight.
“Ill hold on to you forever”

The years passed,
The spent every night under that tree.
And that’s where he proposed to her.
When she said yes, he never felt so happy
And that night when he kissed her,
He knew this was definitely forever.

As they said their vows,
She smiled the widest he had ever seen.
She was on top of the world,
As they shared that first kiss as husband and wife
He whispered in her ear “ill hold on to you forever”

The Clock strikes midnight.
This should be the part where the fairy tale ends
But with you it never started
You left me there
Before the ball even started
No happyliy ever after
No prince charming.
This was supposed to be my night.
You turned my fairy tale
Into a nightmare
The big bad wolf and the joker
I wanted my night in shining armour
But then sent me you instead
I wish I could turn back the pages
And start this love story over again

Today I went back to your backyard

I cried when I saw that place

Today, I ssat down in that hammock
