Need to know what hammock stand is right for the hammock I’m buying, just dimension-wise. For instance is a 12 foot stand right for a 10 foot hammock to give it some slack or will a 10 foot stand do fine? This is the hammock I’m buying:

College friends and I are looking to go hammock camping and mountain biking anywhere in Texas. Does anyone know of cool terrain places. Possibly more activities besides mountain biking.

The dimensions I’m working with are 112" length x 25" width. (for frames that run the full length on the width). For frames that only have one support pole down the length in the middle, the standing base can be 32" wide. I’ve already looked at several websites and browsed around, so my question now is: where can I find what I’m looking for? I still need to be able to sleep in it! (length of place to sleep must be around 6 feet)

I’m trying to figure out what to do my thesis project on. I live in Florida, and I want to do it at the state park I work at, MacArthur Beach State Park. I want to do observational or experimental research as opposed to article or book research. At the park, they have an estuary, beach, dunes and a hardwood hammock. I’m not marine biology so I want to stay away from anything too marine.
Oh, and I want to be able to get all the data collected this summer so I’ll have the year to just write the thesis.

Im flying from Logan International Airport (Boston) to London Heathrow on saturday, I have my Suitcase that gets checked in, I have a carry on case, and I have a backpack all of which i can travel with at no extra cost.
For christmas my girlfriends mum got me a hammock which you can fold away, the frame weighs about 10/12 lbs and is nomore than 3 ft long and merely a few inches wide when folded away.
How would I go about taking this back home? It cannot fit in either of my suitcases. I realise I will probably have to pay to take it home, which is fine, but on the british airways website I can only find information about flying with sporting equipment as baggage.
Will i need to put the hammock frame in a box?
About how much extra am i looking at to take the hammock home?

i sleep over my friends house every once and a while and need to protect myself from his dog it is a small havenese. but she goes for the jugular. and i need to find something to keep her away from killing me. the floor size is about 7-8 feet (length) X 2-4 feet (width). and it needs to be portable. i have tryed a portable mesh hammock but it didnt work and now she wakes me up by biting me till i bleed. plz help soon 0-0 (the dog only bites me and my friend)

Thinking of naming my baby girl Irieanna (eye-ree-Anna). My husband and I were married in Jamaica and one day while we were taking a romantic walk on the beach, we stopped and took a seat on a hammock. We started talking about the future and we agreed that the name Irie (a saying in Jamaica) would be a really cool name and that if we ever had a girl, that’s what we would name her.
Plus my mothers middle name is Irene…so it is sentiment in so many ways. I added the "anna" to try to make it sound a bit less…idk..hippie freak lol…But do you think it’s too "out there" lol. Thank you for your answers!

Going to do my first long ride, I’m planning on riding from key largo to key west (about 100 miles). But I was wondering what do you do for these kind of rides. Things I should bring? Good meal to eat before? Snacks to keep me going? About how long does a 100 mile ride take for a less experienced rider? Also if anyone has ever biked the keys how is it? I’ve read a little on the ride and people have done it and said its not too bad except small patches of small shoulders with traffic and drunk drivers at night, but I won’t be riding at night. Sunscreen is a definite haha, going to be a long, beautiful, hot ride that hopefully ends in a hammock on the beach.
My Papa is retiring and I am working on posters to hang up. My family wants to incorporate a wanted ad for a Walmart Greeter as a joke, this is the best I could come up with. I’m tired, so I want to see if this is even funny or not.

Here is a question for someone well traveled. My husband and i are looking to take a trip in October to some place tropical and those are our options. We are looking for a complete beach vacation, that means the water should be calm and warm enough to swim (we don’t care for pools all that much). Ideally, we are looking for just something breathtaking and simple. We just want to spend few days hanging in the hammocks on the beach. I’m a fifteen year old girl and my bff is a fifteen year old boy. My best friend and I are really close and we definitely don’t have a problem touching each other. We hug a lot and he playfully touches my face, arms, hands and hair. We tell each other everything. Well we were on a school trip together for a month with some other people, and one night we were at dinner with the rest of my group, and he sat across from me. He grabbed my hand (above the table, not below) played with it for a minute, then brought it to his lips and kissed it softly. A little later, he took my hand again, rubbed it against his face, then brought it to his lips, held it there for a second, and then kissed it a couple of times gently. A couple of days later, we were in a place where there were two hammocks, but one was taken, so we laid down together on one of them and he put his arm around me. At a point in time I felt him rest his face against my head and kiss the top of my head gently. Then he moved his head slightly and I waited a minute, then took his hand and kissed it. He seemed fine with that. However, two weeks later, we stayed at a hotel on the beach and he disappeared from the group and I was really scared (because he’s attempted suicide before) but when he came back, he talked to me for a minute, and then I started crying. When he saw that I was crying, he hugged me for a second, then let go for a second to tell me he was sorry for scaring me but he really wanted to go to bed. I said okay and then he hugged me again, really tight. He hugged me for about 2 minutes. But after about one minute, I turned my head and kissed his cheek and I sensed a little surprise in him. However, he didn’t let go of me until a couple minutes later when I let go of him. After we let go, he said goodnight and I said "goodnight, I love you," and then he just nodded. Did he take the kiss and the "I love you" comment the wrong way? Should I refrain from kissing him and saying things like that from now on?
Note: we are not dating, nor are we in love. We’re like brother and sister and we kissed each other to show that we love each other as friends.
